Patients & appointments
A searchable patient registry with the full file — contact, blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, visit history — and a day/week calendar with walk-ins and a waiting queue.
Sbtar — سبيطار: clinic management with an AI assistant
Sbtar is the web rebuild of a Windows clinic program used by doctors in Algeria. Patients, appointments, consultations, prescriptions and billing move from one office PC to any browser, for the whole clinic team, in English, French or Arabic. 7-MD builds and runs it; the app itself lives at sbtar.7-md.com.
Why Sbtar exists: the clinic program doctors rely on only ran on one Windows PC, with one local database and no way to work from anywhere else.
The same daily work — waiting room, patient files, visits — now opens on any computer, phone or tablet the team is signed in on.
Today's appointments, the waiting queue and the day's activity on one screen, with a bottom tab bar on mobile.
One deployment serves many clinics, each with its own data, so a clinic anywhere can sign up and start without an installer.
The modules of the original Windows program, rebuilt one by one for the web.
A searchable patient registry with the full file — contact, blood group, allergies, chronic conditions, visit history — and a day/week calendar with walk-ins and a waiting queue.
Visit notes with reason, exam, diagnosis and vitals, linked to the patient, plus prescriptions with dose, frequency and duration in a printable ordonnance layout.
Consultation fees, invoices, payments and a daily cash summary; clinic settings, working hours, and staff invited with owner, doctor or assistant roles.
Being rolled out in stages: turning rough notes into a structured consultation note, summarising a patient's history before a visit, and checking prescriptions against recorded allergies. The doctor always reviews and decides.
Sbtar is being built in the open, phase by phase. This is where it stands.
The same hardened server patterns 7-MD uses for its own platform, applied to medical data.
React 19 web app with a mobile-first layout, installable as a PWA.
Node.js API with session cookies, per-clinic roles, rate limits and origin checks.
Firebase database reached only by the server, with default-deny rules.
Redis for sessions, rate limits and background queues.
Medical free-text encrypted field by field (AES-256-GCM) before it is stored, plus an audit log.
AI features run on the server only; no key or patient data is exposed in the browser.
Sbtar is a tool for the clinic's paperwork and organisation. It does not diagnose, and it is not medical advice.
Every AI output is a draft for the doctor to read, correct and approve — nothing is saved to a patient file on its own.
Every record belongs to one clinic and is only visible to that clinic's staff, according to their role.
Open Sbtar to see the app, or contact 7‑MD if you want to move your clinic from the old Windows program.
